Mac DeMarco, the Canadian indie artist is set to return to Birmingham on his latest tour on the 27th of November and judging by his previous gigs, this is the go-to night if you’re looking for something different to fill your evening.
The multi-talented, singer-songwriter and producer, DeMarco hits Birmingham with the fourth album under his belt, touring Europe and continuing worldwide after his headline show in Birmingham. His fourth full album, ‘Here Comes the Cowboy’, follows a similar sound to his previous minimalistic tracks with some quirky tunes offering a different sound. DeMarco’s music is often romantic, as he writes love songs about his long term girlfriend, but his new album varies somewhat between romance, family references and comical tracks like his new one, Choo Choo where the title provides the main song lyric.
He is well known for his humour and quirkiness with many of his live shows filled with randomness and unpredictability. He has even given out his home address on a track before, it seems he is no stranger to being a little wild. With over 3.5 million monthly Spotify listeners, Mac is set to hit to take Birmingham by storm. Last performing in the second city in 2015, fans should be excited by his return and will be treated to a night of fun, antics and chilled out indie tunes from this sensational act.
Some fans are hoping that he plays some classics like My Kind Of Woman and Chamber of Reflection and Salad Days mixed in with some fresh tracks from the new album, Here Comes the Cowboy.
