This time last year, the Birmingham Bears were away at Chelmsford in the quarter finals of the T20 Blast, looking to beat the Essex Eagles and progress to finals day in pursuit of their first ever domestic T20 trophy.
One year forward, and it’s the same two teams battling it out for the same place at the T20 Blast Finals Day, only this time we’re at the home of the Bears! We had a cracker of a game yesterday as Northants were confirmed as the first semi finalists, after David Willey scored a magnificent 100 from 40 balls – the best in the competition so far.
Will we same the same kind of fireworks tonight, or will the lingering rain interfere with it all?
