I’ve recently come into ownership of a box of old unlabelled cassette tapes. Join me in exploring these dusty (and mechanically satisfying) windows into the lives of the anonymous recorders of these tapes; discover songs lost to the decades, good and bad – hear now-classic songs surrounded by their contemporaries – live through the ears of whoever collected all of these tunes together, and ponder on who they were, what they wanted, and where they might be now. All brought to your ears in a warm haze of lo-fi tape noise.
