Fans of Chris Fronzak will know that he is a talented musician who doesn’t take himself too seriously, which is rare nowadays. In his main band, Attila, Fronzak has dabbled with rapping before, in particular in 2013’s About That Life (Read our review here). However ‘Turn It Up’ is the first release under the Fronzilla name, and is the lead single of his debut album Party People’s Anthem which will be released on the June 24th.
‘Turn It Up’ follows the theme of most Attila songs lyrically, talking about sex and drugs all whilst being as offensive as possible (after all this is a man whose clothing company has just released a t-shirt saying “Drink Capri Sun, F*** B****s”). The song does exactly what it was designed to do – make you want to drink and dance – and is definitely a party song which was obviously a great deal of fun to make. While this track will not be making waves in the rap world anytime soon, it is something that fans of metal may see as something of a guilty pleasure. Overall it is enjoyable, but not exactly good. This is firmly a track for fans of Attila and pretty poor rapping.
