If your bank holiday weekend is just not complete if it doesn’t involve wading through a muddy Bramham park, eating cold spaghetti hoops out of the tin or getting your groove on until the early hours of the morning, then do not fear, Leeds Fest 2016 is on its way and without giving anything away: it’s going to be a banger.
Today two more headliners Biffy Clyro and Fall Out Boy have been announced to be co headlining as Leeds/Reading are the first UK festival to have five headliners over three days. They will be joining the likes of Foals, Disclosure, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Vaccines, Courteeners, Haim and Cage the Elephant and many, many more for a weekend that has something for everyone.
So blow the dust off your tent, strap on your bum bag, pull on your wellies and get ready to get your mosh on. Elbow your way through the Coachella posers and ignore the Glastonbury hippies who turn their nose up at your beloved Leeds fest. You’re not too old, it’s not too rowdy and with a line up like this who really cares anyway? There will be mud, walking to the campsite will be so, so long and of course it’s going to rain, but at least this will disguise the tears when it gets to Monday morning and you realise the best weekend of your year, is yet another year away.
