The UK’s legendary annual rock-fest is only two months away, with yet another face-melting lineup, this time stretching even further across the vast categorical swathes of the rock and metal genres. Of course, the killer headliner combo of Rammstein, Iron Maiden and the final ever UK offering from Black Sabbath is surely enough reason to go as it is. But that’s really just scratching the surface; the poster is littered with familiar logos – Deftones and Korn are making their own appearances, even though you could argue that they’re deserving of headline slots themselves.
In addition to all this, we’ve got the very best offerings from practically every subgenre you can think of – the pop-punk of All Time Low, the metalcore of Bury Tomorrow, all the way to the tech metal and djent stylings of Architects and Periphery. Even Don Broco, who are pretty much verging on the indie side of things nowadays, are making their first appearance at the festival since 2010.
With yet more names to add to the already crammed poster, we know this isn’t one to miss. Download 2016 takes place in Donington Park from Friday 10 June to Sunday 12 June. Tickets can be found here: http://downloadfestival.co.uk/tickets
