Over recent years Oxfordshire based event, Truck Festival has excelled in bringing the best new musicians to their home at Hill Farm and this year is no different.
The festival has played host in past years to bands that have since risen to the very top, with acts such as Foals and Biffy Clyro having played who are now headlining major festivals. With headliners Catfish and The Bottlemen and Manic Street Preachers set to top the bill, it looks like organisers are once again grabbing the best whilst they can.
Manic Street Preachers will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of their classic album, ‘Everything Must Go’, whilst The Bottlemen will celebrate their win at this year’s Brits (Best Breakthrough Act) and by July will have their second album ‘The Ride’ under their belts with its release set for May. It’ll be new versus old, but what we can certainly expect is two weekend defining sets.
Also announced for the festival, that was a finalist for ‘Best Small Festival’ at the UK festival awards are Everything Everything, Circa Waves, Young Fathers, The Magic Gang and Creeper amongst others.
The Truck x Switch stage has also unveiled its first wave of dance acts set to play, with Big Narstie, DJ Q and DJ Barley Legal all taking to the Market Stage.
With another announcement coming this Wednesday, we can only expect Truck to be as great, if not better, than it always is!
